Meet Dr. Cynthia Stahura, a licensed clinical psychologist who has made the Phoenix metro area her home and healing ground. With a heart as warm as the Arizona sun, she is dedicated to helping adults navigate the rocky terrains of anxiety, depression, trauma, complex trauma, grief, and other life challenges that can sometimes feel as vast as the Grand Canyon itself.
Her therapeutic style is primarily influenced by Interpersonal Neurobiology – a fancy term that basically means she understands how your brain and relationships can impact your mental health. But she doesn’t stop there. She’s also trained in CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), hypnotherapy, brainspotting, schema therapy, compassion-focused therapy, mindfulness therapy…and breathe! She’s even currently in training for her TIST (Trauma-Informed Stabilization Treatment) therapy certification. If there were an Olympics for therapy modalities, Dr. Stahura would undoubtedly be a gold medalist.
But don’t worry; she won’t throw all these therapies at you like a surprise pop quiz. Dr. Stahura believes that therapy should be collaborative – after all, you’re the expert on you!
